The life in sacraments starts with Baptism. As we learn more about our faith we continue with the sacrament of First Communion. When we deepen our commitment to the church and faith, we participate in the sacrament of Confirmation. Then, depending on the vocation of the individual, we celebrate the sacraments of Matrimony or Religious Order. Through life, we face illness or meet physical death, it is here when the church administers the sacrament of the Anointment of the sick and the last rites.
Other activities within the church tradition are not sacraments such as Funerals and Quinceañeras. However, we list them on this page after the subtitles of Becoming a Catholic RCIA and Religious Education for easier navigation of our site. The Sacrament of Baptism is the first sacrament where a person is welcomed to the church, but also the sacrament where the Grace of God reconciles our fallen nature opening our path of spiritual grace.
